Winter Wonderland

29 Nov

It’s never really winter in Southern California, but I love being able to wear furry coats and dark colors.

Over the Thanksgiving break, I got some great deals at Forever 21Target, and T.J. Maxx. I really love each of the items I picked up. The best part is everything I got was under $40!

Let me know what your favorite winter clothing item or accessory is in the comment section below 🙂

My Thanksgiving

23 Nov

Hello, everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving 🙂

My Thanksgiving was filled with yummy food and beautiful people…

My niece, her cheeks, and I.

This little girl is really special. She has brought so much love and joy into my family. It was her first Thanksgiving!

Mohammar and I at DCA!

Mohammar and I went to Disneyland/Disney California Adventure a day before Thanksgiving. It was so much fun, and it really set the Holiday spirit!

Bella and the “big” girls.

We spent this Thanksgiving with three other families: The Escobar (my sister’s family), The Castillo (my best friend’s family), and The Guzman. It’s nice to know that even though my extended family is far away,  the love I have for them is just as deep and true. (P.S. We really missed the other Guzman family. It wasn’t the same without them!)

iBon Appétit!

What’s Thanksgiving without a little (a lot of) dessert? It’s the small and sweet things in life that matter 😉

I can’t wait for Christmas!

Pretty Little Things

15 Nov

Hello, friends!

I’ve been doing a lot of bargain shopping over the week and found some great finds. I’ll be posting photos soon!

This is a short post, but I promise my next one will be filled with goodies that I’m sure you’ll all enjoy.

Have a great weekend! XO

Over Being Overwhelmed

9 Nov

Senior year is a mix of many emotions.

Fear.

Excitement.

Nostalgia.

However, one thing is for certain, I often find myself feeling overwhelmed.

Feeling overwhelmed comes naturally when you’re a student. It’s normal.

BUT you should definitely rid yourself of that feeling. You’re in control of how you feel, so do what you can to feel at peace.

There are a few things I like to do when I feel overwhelmed that never fail to help me. Follow these stress relievers the next time you’re overwhelmed! Maybe they can help you too 🙂

1. Listen to music. Try to pick a song that automatically puts you in a good mood. Hey Ya! by OutKast always does it for me. I don’t know why, but something about that song just makes me happy.

2. Workout. I really like lifting weights! It’s great exercise, and it won’t wear you out completely.

3. Take a nap. Sometimes you just need to let your mind and body rest. You work really hard, so you deserve it!

Oh, and don’t forget to breathe. It’s going to be okay! Promise.
