I’ve been trying to decide what my next DIY project will be. There are so many fun and beautiful activities to choose from!
I’ve rounded it up to three choices:
Closet Organization taken from Juicystar07.
DIY Makeup Brush Holder taken from Missglamorazzi.
DIY Flower Arrangement taken from The Colorful Living Project.
I’ll be filming one of the mentioned DIY projects, so vote for your favorite one in the comment section below! 🙂
It’s happening. I’m entering adulthood, and I couldn’t be more excited for what God has planned for me.
My birthday (October 20, 2012) falls on the Sabbath this year. What a blessing! I don’t believe in coincidence, and I strongly feel this happened for a reason.
Like most people, I’m usually pretty selfish on my birthday and expect the world to pour out congratulations and gifts at my feet. This year, however, I just want to give thanks.
First and foremost, I thank God for giving me another year of life. For allowing me to wake up every morning with a healthy body and a loving family. I feel guilty sometimes because I know I don’t deserve half of His blessings, but after all, He is love. That’s His thing. I thank Him for loving me and making me new.
My family. What a beautiful sentence. What a privilege to call them my own. They make up who I am. They are a gift from God and nothing on Earth matters more to me than they do.
My best friends. Friends are family we choose for ourselves. I’ve chosen wisely. They complete the little empty spaces in my heart and have each taught me valuable lessons in life.
I plan on making this year better than the last. Becoming a woman of God and living my life as an example for others is what I hope to accomplish. I ask you all to keep me in your prayers, and thank you for being a part of my life 🙂
From birth I have relied on You; You brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise You. –Psalm 71:6
October is one of my favorite months. Besides it being my birthday month, it’s also a time to raise awareness of a really important issue and one close to my heart.
As you may all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I lost my Aunt Laura to Breast Cancer. She was starting to heal and for about three years all seemed well. During her fourth year of remission, they found a lump in her neck. It turned out she was developing metastatic cancer. Metastatic cancer is deadly and allows the cancer to spread all over the body.
At age 56, she passed away.
It’s important for us to stay informed and healthy.
I know many of you assume you’ll never have to suffer through something so serious (God forbid you do), but my aunt thought the same.
Prevention is key, and early detection might save your life or the life of someone you love. Follow these five simple steps for self-examination, and make sure you see a physician.
I hope you all join me this month by raising awareness of this very important cause. Whether you fundraise, wear pink or simply read this post, remember that we’re all in this together.
Let’s fight cancer!
What’s your biggest fear? We’ve all been asked this question at some point in our lives. To some it might be spiders, mice, public speaking or death itself. The list can be quite long.
I’m not a fan of spiders either (unless it’s this one), but what I fear the most in life is failure. Even typing the word gives me chills.
I think many of us share this in common. I mean who wants to fail? None of us do (I hope). We all want to be successful, happy and reach our fullest potential.
I’ve realized that fear of failure can be so damaging. If we constantly fear that we’re not going to reach our goals, we won’t. If we constantly dwell on our past mistakes and shortcomings, we’ll never grow the courage to keep on going.
I’m not sure what you’re afraid of.
Do you fear that you’ll never finish your education or reach your career goals? Are you afraid you will never find the right husband/wife? Do you feel like you’re never going to be the mother/father your child needs?
It can be anything. Fear of failure is a normal thing, but it’s not something we should let consume us. It’s definitely not something that should stand in our way.
On this Thursday morning, say this prayer with me…
Dear God, I’m afraid of failing. I’m afraid of failing myself, my family, my friends but most of all God, I’m afraid of failing you. I ask that you take this fear away. Help me believe in myself and most importantly believe in you. The Bible says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Strengthen me, God. Allow me to be brave and bold. May my fear of failure be no more, and may I live out my dreams in faith and in courage. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Now go out and conquer the world!
